BIGS Launches New Flavors as Brand Growth Continues

Fastest Growing Seed Brand Unveils Two New Varieties

BOULDER, CO – June 20, 2016 – BIGS®, Boulder-based maker of premium seed snacks, announces the addition of two new varieties — Tapatio® Chile Limon Sunflower Seeds and Cracked Pepper Pumpkin Seeds. The new flavors will be unveiled at Sweets & Snacks Expo May 24-26.

“Our new seed varieties truly deliver on our brand promise of big flavor and taste,” says BIGS president and founder, Justin Havlick. “We are excited to be collaborating with Tapatio hot sauce for our Tapatio Chile Limon Sunflower Seeds and delivering a new, healthy snack option to the market with our Cracked Pepper Pumpkin Seeds.”

The Cracked Pepper Pumpkin Seeds, made with no artificial flavors or preservatives and GMO-free seeds, are the third variety in the BIGS pumpkin seed line. They contain 11 grams of protein per serving and a variety of vitamins and minerals, including zinc, iron, B vitamins, copper, vitamin K and manganese.

The Tapatio Chile Limon Sunflower Seeds are fire-roasted and seasoned with Tapatio sauce for a bold, salsa picante flavor with a refreshing hint of lime.  Both varieties will be available in 5.35 oz. bags.

“The timing for the launch of our new seed varieties couldn’t be better as our growth trend continues and as we prepare for the summer and fall selling season,” says Havlick. “As consumers look for more convenient, high-protein snacks, we will continue bringing new options to the marketplace that are delicious and big on flavor and taste.”

BIGS is the fastest growing seed brand in the U.S. market. The brand is up 35 percent year-over-year with plans for continued expansion throughout 2016.
